Here we are again with the latest Ocoya product update – the October 2024 rendition. Indeed, there have been numerous changes, tweaks, and upgrades since the last update was published, all with the aim to make Ocoya be the best it can be, serving as your go-to social media marketing toolbox.
What’s new for October 2024?
While many people were away on their well-deserved summer break, our Ocoya development team has been hard at work wrangling the code and bringing you the updates you can read more about below.
Best time to post
As a savvy social media marketer, you probably already know that picking the right time to publish your post can make a major difference. Ideally, that’s going to be when the majority of your followers are online. The thing is, how do you go about identifying those ideal posting times without relying purely on trial and error?
At Ocoya, we’ve finally solved that problem by implementing the power of advanced AI analytics. Introducing AI prediction charts – with these, you’ll be able to make data-driven decisions and forecast the success of your post with remarkable accuracy, allowing you to get it out there when it matters the most and reaping the benefit of increased follower engagement.
You can leverage the “best date” or “best time” functionality for maximum performance.
Streamlined approvals
Being able to collaborate with your team seamlessly can make a massive difference to your productivity and bottom line. With this in mind, we’ve overhauled the task approval flow for internal and client projects, allowing you to utilize the new presets and branding options.
Just by glancing at your dashboard, you’ll be able to determine the status of your post. This can be either:
- Draft
- Pending Client Approval
- Pending Internal Approval
- Scheduled
- Posted
- Error
For those posts that throw an error, you can simply hit ‘retry’. You can also track the schedule history of your posts.
Enhanced post editor
We’ve overhauled our post editor for maximum convenience and efficiency. To help you squeeze out even more, there are now dedicated sections for:
- Planning: Easily organize your content strategy and timelines, thus boosting your productivity and output.
- Content: Manage your post content with ease, refining it to perfection either manually or with the help of AI.
- Discussion: Collaborate and communicate with your team members or third-party associates, ensuring that everyone is up-to-speed with the next steps to take.
- Labels (coming soon): Categorize and tag your posts for better organization. No more losing time on trying to find where you’ve put things!
- Notes (coming soon): Add important notes and reminders. A great way to stop wasting time trying to determine where you’ve left off and up your productivity even more.
- Boost Budget (coming soon): Allocate budget for boosting your posts. For those who need that little bit of extra oomph to traverse the algorithmic obstacles and finally be seen.
- Post Checklist (coming soon): Track key tasks like content review and image additions, allowing team members to mark each step as “done” to ensure a smooth publishing process.
More Intuitive Automations
We’re excited to announce that creating automations is now even easier with our new intuitive drag-and-drop functionality! You can now add more triggers and actions with a simple click and drag, just like building blocks. This update allows you to create custom workflows tailored to your unique needs, making automation smoother, faster, and more effective than ever before. Stay tuned as we continue to expand our library of triggers and actions to support even more use cases!
Personal media library
If you’re like most marketers, you probably have a swipe file on hand and images that you like to re-use from time to time. At Ocoya, we want to make it as simple as possible by allowing you to have everything in reach. Here’s where having a personal media library comes in – it’s a convenient space for storing all your media files, making it a great addition for boosting your productivity even further.
Publish like a human
Social media algorithms aren’t dense, and neither is your audience. Therefore, you should take the steps necessary to ensure that you appear as human-like as possible, especially if you’re relying on AI to do the heavy lifting for you. For instance, publishing every hour at exactly the same time is a dead giveaway that automation is at play, so we’ve added a feature that’s going to make your publishing schedule appear more natural and spontaneous.
Assets page
No more scrambling around trying to find your creatives and copywriting recipes. From the dedicated assets page that we’ve added, you’ll be able to edit your email presets and other presets for your posts. In addition, you’ll be able to organize them to your liking in addition to being able to access them on demand, all of which is bound to skyrocket your productivity even more.
A couple of things that are still in the oven
The following features are actively in development, so you can expect them soon.
Kanban and labels
If you’re into optimizing your productivity, you’ve probably heard of how the Kanban board can help maximize it and leave you feeling good about your accomplishments. This is how the pros manage their tasks with efficiency and precision. The assets page is also being enhanced with post labels and a link shortener with optional UTM parameters.
TikTok integration
You’ve waited patiently and we’re here to deliver! Well, almost. We are happy to announce that the TikTok integration is now in its final stages of development, bringing you one step closer to seamless content creation and distribution on this popular platform.
Advanced post tagging
With the help of user tagging in posts, you’ll be well on your way to enhancing your engagement and reach in no time. A true game-changer when it comes to interacting with your audience!
